US Intelligence Report on Iraq

The New York Times reports that the US National Security Estimate reflecting the views of 16 US intelligence agencies concludes that the war in Iraq has increased the threat of terrorism and helped spread Islamic radicalism world-wide. As Homer Simpson would say: "Doh!". (And yet on the Andrew Marr programme, asked about this, Blair said he doesn't think terrorism has increased as a result of the war in Iraq. I think psychiatrists call this being "in denial").

I agree 100%. I saw the news article and a link on BBC news to "the priminsters reponse". Sure enough, he said "We didn't start this" and went way back to 9/11 as if to say Iraq had something to do with it. At least Bush has admitted Iraq and its so called WOMD proved to be wrong (intentionally or un-intentionally). Blair on the other hand is pathologically incapable of admitting he is wrong..ever. Denial, indeed. What he was trying to say is that Islamist though existed well before Iraq. He is right. But nowhere near the level of how it is now. So Tony...please...look at "reality". Iraq has spawned 100's of other Al Qaeda-esque organizations, and you helped in their creation. Another reason for you to be removed from Government as soon as possible.
